Both the U.S. and Canadian corporate housing industries survived the economic challenges of 2011. The US industry scaled back on inventory to meet demand. Canada responded to the recession by holding rate relatively flat. Together, corporate housing fared better than other segments of the lodging industry, with most companies projecting slight increases in inventory for 2011.
